Our Admissions
CMS accepts students of any race, colour, national, and ethnic origin and acknowledges the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, colour, national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational or admissions policies.
Parents must understand that enrolment of their child in CMS signifies compliance with all school rules and policies and procedures outlined in our policy documents.
CMS accepts students throughout the year if space is available, all admissions criteria have been met, and the evaluating staff feel that the child would thrive in our CMS learning environment.
Children are admitted to The Children’s Montessori School & Preparatory School and our Licensed Pre-Casa program on a first come-first-served basis, with priority is given to:
-
students currently attending our programs/school;
-
siblings of children already attending any programs operated by The Children’s Montessori School & Preparatory School;
-
staff of The Children’s Montessori School & Preparatory School; and
-
finally, the community at large.
Prior to enrollment, each child must have an up-to-date record of immunization. All forms given to the family including the Policy Handbook must be read, understood and signed. These policies are very important to the program and must be followed. Pre-Casa Child Care parents have the opportunity, on the enrolment form, to request the days and hours that they would like their child to attend. Although the school will attempt to fulfill each request, not all will be honoured due to limited space in our classrooms.
Before your child begins at our school, we will arrange for you and the child to visit.
If you decide to enrol your child(ren) at CMS, the following procedures will be required to complete the admission process:
